The Los Angeles Dodgers are gearing up to celebrate their second consecutive World Series victory with their loyal fans in a grand parade on Monday as they return to California.

The team clinched another championship win in Toronto on Saturday night, thrilling fans with a dramatic Game 7 triumph over the Blue Jays. This victory denied Toronto their first World Series title in over three decades in a truly spectacular fashion.

The night was highlighted by Miguel Rojas’ crucial home run in the ninth inning, coupled with an outstanding pitching performance by World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The excitement continued with a breathtaking home run by Will Smith in the 11th inning, ensuring the Dodgers held onto their championship status in what was an unforgettable showdown in Canada.

Following their victory, Dodgers players, including stars like Shohei Ohtani, Clayton Kershaw, and Kike Hernandez, celebrated in style. The locker room turned into a festive scene as they donned ski goggles and showered in champagne to mark their back-to-back title success.

Now, the team is set to bring the celebration home to Los Angeles, where thousands of ecstatic fans are expected to fill the streets for Monday’s victory parade, eager to join in the jubilant festivities.

The parade is set to take place in downtown Los Angeles, with players expected to travel along the route in double-decker buses.

It is slated to get underway at around 11am local time (2pm ET) and will last around 45 minutes.

Players will leave Dodger Stadium at 10:45am and make their way to downtown LA, starting at North Broadway and West Temple Street before going west on Temple and then turning onto Grand and head south.

At 7th street they will then head west to South Figueroa Street, before the buses head north to West 5th Street, where the parade ends.

Once it’s over, Dodgers players are scheduled to go back to Dodger Stadium for a ticketed celebration which begins at 12:15pm. All of the tickets are said to have sold out within an hour.

Fans started lining the streets hours before their Dodgers heroes embark on the parade, ensuring they will have the best possible view when the buses make their way through.

Many of them did so waving Dodgers flags and holding up their own celebratory banners, with some of them mocking Toronto after their collapse on Saturday night.

‘The Jays had wings, the Dodgers got rings!’ one of the signs read.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, and the score locked at 4-4, the Blue Jays needed just one run to topple the Dodgers and land their first championship since 1993 in front of their own fans at the Rogers Centre.

Yet much to the despair of the home crowd, a crazy catch by Dodgers outfielder Andy Page – who took out teammate Kike Hernandez in the process – sent Game 7 to extra innings, where the visitors ultimately prevailed.

Toronto also had the chance to wrap up the title in Game 6, only for a huge gaffe at the death by Addison Barger to send the series to a decider.

And for the Dodgers, the rest is history.

Once their partying is over through the offseason, Roberts and his players will soon turn their attention to becoming only the third team in history to pull off a famous three-peat next season.

The New York Yankees (1998-2000) and the Oakland Athletics (1972-74) are the only teams in history to win three consecutive World Series championships.
