Chicago police said Jenkins is one of three people who allegedly robbed two women at gunpoint in the 400 block of West Wellington Avenue on Sunday.
During the robbery, Jenkins allegedly shot one of the victims in the abdomen.
He is also accused of of robbing a 21-year-old woman at gunpoint on June 9 in the 700 block of West Roscoe Avenue.
Police said he was also charged in connection stolen vehicles on June 9 in the 3100 block of North Broadway, and on July 12.
The 19-year-old is facing eight felony charges, including attempted murder, robbery with a firearm, being in possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and identity theft.

There was some sense of relief along a block in Lakeview, after one of the suspects in a weekend shooting and robbery was ordered by a judge to remain behind bars until his trial.
“Knowing that there’s some justice for the victims here is really great to hear,” neighbor Zahara Kadir said.
After hearing the commotion, a neighbor named Jenny quickly called 911 and alerted her neighbors.
“I heard a gunshot, very clearly. I heard at least three female voices, like screaming,” Jenny said. “I think it hit me that something actually really happened… was when I saw two cops running down my street.”
Prosecutors said the group drove away in a stolen vehicle and an Uber driver caught the license plate as they sped off.
Surveillance video captured Jenkins and that vehicle used in the armed robbery. Prosecutors also say Jenkins used one of the women’s credit cards and cell phone.
Officials said Jenkins initially tried to run away before throwing an illegal firearm over a fence at the time of his arrest Monday.
In court Wednesday, prosecutors said the 19-year-old has been connected to at least three other crimes involving stolen vehicles and armed robberies over the past couple of months.
Given what played out, Jenny is reassured she did not wait to call for help.
“I have a big sense of community with the girls that I do know in this neighborhood, so I always want to look out for them, because I would want them to do the same for me,” Jenny said.
In addition to the other crimes Jenkins has been linked to, prosecutors said he has an extensive juvenile criminal history.
He is due back in court on Friday.
