Lauren Bennett, best known as one of the voices behind the sensation “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO, has passed away.
Her former band, GRL, confirmed Bennett’s death with a statement released on Monday.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Lauren,” the statement began.
“Our hearts are shattered, and we struggle to find words for how much she meant to all of us. The love, laughter, and precious memories she gave us will always be remembered. Her incredible spirit touched many lives, and she will be missed dearly and loved eternally,” the statement concluded.
“Party Rock Anthem” was released in 2011. The song spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached No. 1 in 20 different countries.
