Recently surfaced mugshots of Tyler Boebert, son of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, have come to light following his arrest on charges concerning the sexual exploitation of a child.
The released images from the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office show the 21-year-old with a stoic expression.
After being charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a child, which includes a charge related to video content, Boebert was released on a $10,000 bond, as confirmed by Colorado court records dated August 6.
Authorities allege that these charges are tied to a 43-second video he allegedly recorded featuring himself and a 17-year-old girl, material they have classified as child sexual abuse content, according to a report by People.
Reportedly, the video in question was filmed on February 1, 2024, when Boebert was 18 and the girl, 17, as noted by People.
According to an affidavit, the girl reported the video to police the following day after her ex-boyfriend received a copy. Her mother later told authorities that the video had been posted to Instagram, according to NBC News.
The charges relate to felonies that allegedly occurred in 2024.
He was also slapped with two counts of ‘contributing to the delinquency of a minor.’

Boebert spoke out after her son was arrested on charges of child sexual exploitation.

The records indicate that Tyler was released on Sunday. He is scheduled to appear in Garfield County District Court on August 19.
He has not yet entered a plea in the case, first reported by American Muckrakers.
This is not the congresswoman’s son’s first run-in with the law, as he was charged with child abuse in February.
Tyler, one of Boebert’s four children, was slapped with a misdemeanor charge of child abuse without injury, according to 9News.
He is accused of leaving his two-year-old son unattended at the congresswoman’s home in Windsor, Colorado, in February.
The tot then reportedly wandered away from the house, which is located close to a lake.
Colorado Representative Boebert told 9News at the time that there’s ‘no excuse’ for her son’s actions and that she’s ‘very frustrated this happened.’
‘A kind woman quickly and safely secured him, and authorities were called as a precaution,’ Boebert added at the time.
The charge was Tyler’s second of the same nature.
Tyler was cited on July 11 last year for leaving his son unattended.
He was charged with criminal negligence where no death or injury occurred, according to documents from the Windsor Police Department.
Tyler had his son, Josiah, in June 2023 when he was still a teenager, making Boebert a grandmother at the age of 36.
The Republican said in a statement to the Daily Mail previously, ‘Tyler has been doing a great job getting his life on track as a father and citizen over the past year.
Boebert often brings her grandson to DC with her, and he was seen in a photograph depicting the congresswoman’s visit to a local farm in Colorado, shared by her office on Monday.
