Donald Trump took the oath of office surrounded by political royalty and the biggest players in tech on Monday in the heart of Washington DC.

But despite the excitement surrounding the historic moment, Lauren Sanchez mostly kept her focus on her billionaire fiancé Jeff Bezos.

The 55-year-old ex-reporter was holding on to the 61-year-old Amazon CEO inside the capitol while prominent figures like Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan moved around them. Sanchez was positioned right beside the Zuckerbergs.

However, the seating arrangement turned out to be uncomfortable as Sanchez seemed to be actively avoiding any eye contact with Priscilla Chan, the wife of another tech mogul, in a moment of tension captured on camera.

Meanwhile, Chan was spotted chatting to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. while mingling with a handful of other political figures. 

Sanchez seemed less inclined to socialize, instead choosing to stick by Bezos’ side.

At a certain moment, she gazed at the capitol’s ceiling before nudging Bezos and drawing his attention to something above, all the while tightly holding onto his arm.

Later, she was spotted in a friendly conversation with Zuckerberg, with some viewers suggesting that the tech guru was slightly too interested in Sanchez’s outfit choice, as some accused him of ‘repeatedly’ staring at her chest. 

Chan didn’t participate in the friendly chit chat between Sanchez and her husband, instead turning her back to the pair as she conversed with others. 

It’s unclear if the two women were able to chat or not, but their lack of interaction may be due to the seating arrangements inside the capitol. 

Chan and Sanchez were both separated by Zuckerberg, and Sanchez seemed to keep her conversation limited to those directly next to her, meaning Zuckerberg and Bezos.

As expected of the glamorous Sanchez, the brunette bombshell didn’t hold back when it came to her wardrobe.

The mom-of-three donned a white pantsuit with nothing beneath her blazer except a lacy white bra.

The slinky lingerie showed off Sanchez’s cleavage, and blazer was only held together by one button.

The bold wardrobe choice sent social media into a frenzy, with many people take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on the risqué ensemble.

‘Good grief, Lauren Sanchez. Put them away for one day,’ a disgusted user urged.

‘Lauren Sanchez is wearing a bra,’ wrote another shocked user.

‘Just when I was luxuriating in the beauty and class of @FLOTUS45, in walks Lauren Sanchez wearing only a bra,’ slammed someone else. 

Bezos and Sanchez have kept extraordinary secrecy around their upcoming wedding, ever since he proposed aboard his $500 million super yacht in May 2023.

Sanchez let slip on the Today Show last month that she had bought her wedding dress, but no precise plans have been made public.

Sanchez told Vogue in November last year that, at that point, she hadn’t started planning.

‘We’re still thinking about the wedding,’ she told the magazine. ‘Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet.’

When asked if he would get involved in the plans, Bezos reportedly laughed and said: ‘Oh, God, no. Do I look that dumb?’

Today Show hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie took their chance when Sanchez sat for an interview on November 20 this year, cheekily asking about her wedding plans.

‘So, you asked?’ said Sanchez, looking a little exasperated. 

She said she was ‘very excited about it,’ adding she was ‘thinking about the dress’.

‘I have to say, I do have a Pinterest, I’m just like every other bride, so I do have a Pinterest board,’ the billionaire’s fiancée admitted.

Bezos and Sanchez have been publicly dating since January 2019.
