After making waves with her racy outfit on Monday at Donald Trump’s inauguration, Lauren Sanchez opted for a more modest ensemble at the Inauguration Ball in the evening.

The 55-year-old former journalist wore a stunning golden peach colored gown to the star-studded affair before sharing some pictures on Instagram, tagging Dolce and Gabbana.

The ethereal gown boasted draped soft tulle sleeves with an elegant bodice that cinched in at the waist.

The whimsical frock had a slit in the skirt to give fans a glimpse of Sanchez’s trim pins as well as featuring a modest neckline – a far cry from the controversial lingerie-inspired pantsuit she wore to Trump’s swearing in ceremony earlier in the day.

Sanchez accessorized with large gold earrings and statement rings with her long dark tresses styled in loose waves and draped down her back.

The author’s comments section was filled with comments from celebrity pals gushing over her delicate look.

‘STUNNING!!!!!!’ Kris Jenner wrote, along with a series of red love heart emojis. 

‘Belle of the ball,’ Brooks Nader agreed, along with a heart emoji.

Sanchez caused an uproar with her risqué outfit on Monday morning after arriving with fiancé Jeff Bezos, 61, at the US Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C.

The journalist wore a long white mohair coat, buttoned up in the middle with her long, dark brown hair wavy and tied up in a low pony tail, with some loose tendrils around her face. 

However, she shocked the public after taking off her jacket, revealing a white Alexander McQueen pantsuit with a white lace bra on display and only one button of her blazer done up.

It appears to be the same outfit the soon-to-be Mrs Bezos wore during a chat with Forbes executive vice president Moira Forbes at the 2024 Forbes Power Women’s Summit in September. 

The bold wardrobe choice sent social media into a frenzy, with many people take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on the risqué ensemble.

‘Good grief, Lauren Sanchez. Put them away for one day,’ a disgusted user urged.

‘Lauren Sanchez is wearing a bra,’ wrote another shocked user.

On Sunday night, Sanchez and her billionaire lover attended a star-studded pre-inauguration candlelight dinner at the National Building Museum.

The former TV host called the night a ‘magical evening’ on Instagram, showing off her stunning black dress that featured a glittery strapless top and a silk draped skirt by Dolce and Gabbana. 

At the same event, Ivanka Trump, 43, was seen sparkling in a hand-beaded crystal and pearl gown made by American brand Oscar de la Renta. 

The same designer also dressed Second Lady Usha Vance, 39, for the event in a dress cut similar to Sanchez’s.
