Sexyy Red has been hit by a lawsuit from her child’s grandmother, alleging that the rapper told her social media followers to attack her.

The ‘Pound Town’ singer, whose real name is Janae Wherry, took to social media to urge her fans to ‘kick the door in’ of Nicole Barnes’ home and ‘conduct acts of violence’ against the grandmother, as stated in the lawsuit obtained by DailyMail.com.

Barnes, the paternal grandmother of one of the rapper’s two children, discovered on December 3, 2024, that the 26-year-old had turned to Facebook to share her address and a picture of her home ‘with the intent to incite violence,’ as revealed by the legal filing.

The ‘Get it Sexyy’ star, who was rumored to be in a romantic relationship with Drake, then allegedly instructed her fans to physically assault Barnes, 51, according to the lawsuit filed on Monday.

The legal filing against Sexyy Red is alleging assault, as well as intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress – and describes a crisis among the female family members that is akin to an outrageous Jerry Springer Show storyline.

Barnes asked the court for a judgement and $5 million in damages.

Because of the alleged abuse, Barnes had to move out of her home in Hazelwood, Missouri due to fears over her safety, documents said.

Barnes is currently struggling to find a new home at a ‘comparable price’ since vacating the one that the rapper allegedly posted online.

‘Sexyy Red and her baby daddy are getting into beefs, for whatever reason, that have nothing to do with my client,’ Steven Weaver, Barnes’ attorney, told St. Louis Post-Dispatch

‘We did try to informally resolve it, and her attorneys thought it was a joke. And now they’re finding out it’s not.’

Weaver said his client filed a police report at the time of the alleged post and has been living in constant fear ever since.

He said Barnes even had to go to therapy for the emotional distress the situation has caused her.

DailyMail.com contacted Sexyy Red’s spokesperson for comment.

This is not the first time the rapper has been caught up in legal drama as she was arrested in June 2024 at New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport.

The St. Louis native was captured on surveillance video in the midst of a huge fight inside the airport.

At the time, police told TMZ she and her companions got into a brawl with another group.

Video obtained by the publication showed Sexyy Red enter the frame as a group of men were fighting on the floor.

Barnes said she realized on December 3, 2024 that the 26-year-old took to Facebook and shared her address and a picture of her home 'with the intent to incite violence'

The star then picked up a metal stand and waved it around, but it did not appear she made any contact with the group. She was then pulled away from the fight and fell to the floor.

After airport security intervened the ‘U My Everything’ hitmaker and a few others were arrested.

She appeared to break her silence following the incident – sharing a clip saying: ‘Good morning, I just got out.’

She also posted: ‘To the people that was in that altercation at the airport, please DM me so I can replace yo phone!’

The Port Authority Police told the outlet the rapper was arrested for disorderly conduct while a couple others involved in the fight were booked on assault charges.

The alleged victims went to the hospital for minor injuries.

Sexyy Red is known for her raunchy lyrics and straight to-the-point manner of speaking.

Her first song, called ‘Ah Thousand Jugs,’ came from a novel route of inspiration as it was a diss-track about her boyfriend who was cheating on her.

To her surprise he liked it and inspired her to record it properly in 2018.

But her biggest hit has come much more recently, with Pound Town in 2023.

The song’s unapologetically vulgar lyrics drew attention from many in the industry including Anaconda singer Nicki Minaj.

Minaj agreed to jump on the track in a May 2023 remix, which would become Sexyy Red’s first Billboard Hot 100 entry, peaking at number 66.

In August, she promoted the relaunch of her  Northside Princess beauty brand – complete with extremely NSFW names.

She shocked fans by giving the glosses names including ‘gonorrhea’, ‘blue b*llz’, and a reference to being intimate while menstruating.

The rapper provocatively posed on a table at her Northside Princess headquarters while wearing a black sheer blouse, matching bicycle shorts, and heels.

Sexyy Red certainly raised eyebrows in her hometown when she first released the glosses circa 2019-2020, and she’s simply capitalizing on her newfound fame to move the ‘new and improved’ stock.
