PLYMOUTH, Mass. — The lone juror who held firm in his belief that former Massachusetts nurse Lindsay Clancy was guilty of murder, despite the other 11 jurors reaching a different conclusion, has spoken publicly in his own voice for the first time since a mistrial was declared earlier this month.
Michael Desronvil, who is reportedly staying at an undisclosed location, addressed the case in a video statement.
“I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels,” he said in a video statement that aired exclusively on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday evening. “The ones that can’t speak for themselves, the ones that can’t defend themselves, and the ones that can’t fight the battles — and those are Cora, Dawson and Callan.”

Desronvil also briefly spoke about his own experience.
“I want to thank God for my Catholic faith,” he said softly. “I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual, that has supported me throughout this difficult situation.”
Before making the video statement, Desronvil had issued comments through his attorney, Edward Paltzik, and spoken with YouTuber Ray Marcel, who broadcasts under the name FugitiveTV. Those remarks largely focused on defending him against allegations made by several other jurors.
In interviews following the Sept. 4 mistrial, fellow jurors accused Desronvil of pushing for a guilty verdict even though he allegedly had reasonable doubts about the prosecution’s case. He has denied those allegations.
“Michael has zero doubt,” Paltzik said during an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany over the weekend.

Paltzik also defended his client against a local report detailing prior domestic violence allegations involving Desronvil.
“Every single allegation against Michael is false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false,” Paltzik said. “It just didn’t happen.”
Meanwhile, tensions have escalated between Paltzik and Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington. Reddington has called Desronvil “the obstructionist juror” and asked the court to investigate claims from other jurors who allege that Desronvil refused to follow the law during deliberations.

Clancy is scheduled to return to court Tuesday for a status conference. Prosecutors are expected to outline their plans for a new trial, while the defense has filed motions seeking dismissal of the charges and an investigation into the other jurors’ allegations against Desronvil.
