Richie experienced dizziness while performing “Dancing on the Ceiling” on Wednesday night in Saint Paul, Minnesota, prompting him to take a seat on stage.
After managing to sing “Three Times a Lady,” Richie exited the stage for an intermission and did not return for the remainder of the show.
According to a statement from Live Nation, secured by ABC7 Chicago, Richie has been advised by doctors to rest in order to regain full health. Consequently, he has postponed his next two concerts, initially scheduled for Friday, June 26, in Chicago and Saturday, June 27, in Columbus, OH. They will resume performing on Tuesday, June 30, in Pittsburgh, PA. Lionel is deeply saddened to delay these performances and is eager to return to the stage for his fans. The team apologizes for any inconvenience caused to ticket holders and will announce new dates shortly.
