There have been no immediate reports of injuries or damages, according to ABC 7.
The Los Angeles Fire Department posted on X that they would not enter “earthquake Mode” following the quake.
“Earthquake mode” is when first responders look for damage following a large earthquake, including damage to buildings and infrastructure.
The quake comes just hours after the conclusion of the 97th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
It was also mentioned that shaking was observed during a live broadcast of an afterparty organized by Vanity Fair at the Wallis Annenberg Center, situated approximately 4 miles from the Dolby Theatre, noted by The Sun.
