Anything is paws-ible!

An Alabama woman had a heartwarming reunion with her lost dog, thanks to a twist of fate that brought the pooch back to the animal shelter where she works.

On February 7, Cheyenne Campbell, who works at Second Chance Shelter in Boaz, was taken by surprise when a nervous 3-year-old dog arrived at the facility and joyfully wagged its tail upon seeing her.

The assistant manager at the shelter shared that Campbell couldn’t hold back her tears when she realized that the happy pup, who ran to her and showered her with kisses, was none other than her missing dog, Emma.

“Emma was behind the counter and when Cheyenne started talking, Emma went crazy wagging her tail and jumping,” Second Chance Shelter said in an emotional Facebook post.

“Can you believe it. It was Cheyenne’s dog that had went missing 5 months ago.”

Emma disappeared in September after she was let outside to use the bathroom – leading her devastated owners on a never-ending search that eventually led them to believe they’d never see their beloved dog again.

But their luck changed when a good Samaritan – who lived just 10 miles away from the Campbell home – found Emma and tried for months to find her family to no avail, the shelter said.

“She finally brought Emma to the shelter,” the Feb. 12 post continued.

“We are all so happy that she was found and nothing bad happened to her before she was rescued and reunited with her family. It was surely fat that brought Emma to the shelter where her mama works.”
