Fans of Yellowstone will soon see Luke Grimes reprise his role as Kayce Dutton in the eagerly awaited CBS spin-off, Y: Marshals, set to premiere in a few months.

This week, CBS released a teaser for the new series, featuring Kayce as he embarks on a new journey with a specialized team of U.S. Marshals.

In the trailer, Kayce reflects, “Every day, I struggled to escape the shadow of Yellowstone. I’ve lost comrades, my family, even my brothers. Sometimes, good men are forced to commit bad deeds. Now, I seek a fresh start.”

Kayce’s team of marshals includes Pete Calvin, played by Logan Marshall-Green, Belle Skinner portrayed by Arielle Kebbel, Andrea Cruz as Ash Santos, and Tatanka Means as Miles Kittle, who are collectively engaged in battling “the region’s war on violence,” according to CBS’s announcement.

“Gangs, cartels, race warriors—this might seem like God’s country to you, but evil’s running wild here, buddy,” Pete warns Kayce.

Grimes is not the only Yellowstone alum in the new series. Brecken Merrill, who played Kayce’s son Tate Dutton across all five seasons of Taylor Sheridan‘s hit Western drama, reprises his role, as do Gil Birmingham and Mo Brings Plenty, who played Thomas Rainwater and Mo, respectively.

Another Yellowstone spin-off following Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) is in the works under the working title of The Dutton Ranch, with Ed Harris and Anette Bening joining the cast, too. According to Variety, Natalie Alyn Lind, Marc Menchaca, Juan Pablo Raba, JR Villarreal, and Jai Courtney have also been cast in The Dutton Ranch.

Y: Marshals premieres on CBS on Sunday, March 1, 2026, with streaming available on Paramount+. Check out the new trailer above.
