JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Lanes of I-95 South near Atlantic Boulevard are closed Monday afternoon due to police activity, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Officials said there is no immediate threat to the community, but drivers should expect delays in the area.

Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said in an update at 6:23 p.m. that the incident was “officer-involved,” and a police briefing will be held at a later time. 

JSO Shawn Undersheriff will lead the briefing, according to police.
