Manhattan DA Behind Trump Indictment Responds to GOP With the Self-awareness of a Brick

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the Democrat attempting to arrest Donald Trump on charges related to the hush money he paid to Stormy Daniels, has responded to the GOP after Republicans began organizing a Judicial Committee hearing around the lawyer.

According to Fox News, a spokesperson for Bragg spoke with Fox News Digital, saying that his office will not be intimidated by the GOP. Hilariously, the response from Bragg’s office is about as hypocritical as it gets:

“We will not be intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process, nor will we let baseless accusations deter us from fairly applying the law,” a spokesperson for Bragg’s office told Fox News Digital.

“In every prosecution, we follow the law without fear or favor to uncover the truth. Our skilled, honest and dedicated lawyers remain hard at work,” the spokesperson added.

Bragg is currently attempting to turn what even other Democrats acknowledge is a misdemeanor into a felony. The likelihood of that happening is slim, and many Democrats fear that this weak attempt to arrest Trump will only strengthen his standing among Republican and Independent voters.

Their fears are likely to come true.

Bragg is trying to draw up a narrative of his charges being fair and unbiased, but there is nothing fair or unbiased about them. Bragg is notorious for being an anti-Trump die-hard, and using the legal system to elevate charges while he consistently reduces charges for hardened criminals is a look that says anything but “fairly applying the law.”

Upon Bragg’s announcement that he would attempt to indict Trump, Rep. Jim Jordan of the House Judicial Committee began arranging a hearing that would drag Bragg into the light and expose him as a Soros crony that is so light on crime that he looks like an accessory to it.

Moreover, Texas Republican Rep. Chip Roy looks to be taking aim at Bragg’s federal funding.

While it’s likely nothing may come of the hearing due to both the Senate and the White House still being under the control of Democrats, the point is to expose Bragg as a partisan hack and weaken his support from Democrats while strengthening support for Republicans with voters.

In the end, Bragg will likely be embarrassed and all of his defensive words against the GOP will turn against him. This is an embarrassing attempt to use the justice system for political gain, which is pretty par for the course for Democrats as of late.

However, while Democrats will take another hit to their credibility, Trump will likely have a very good day if his arrest comes. People will begin seeing him less as a political candidate and more as a DC outsider being martyred by the Democrats due to their fear of him.

This will only strengthen the resolve of Republican and Independent voters who were leaning Trump’s way, to begin with, and may even attract more than a few additions to the pro-Trump ranks.
