Police say that Lucius Martin was arrested during a traffic stop, where he tried to reset his cellphone.
MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession and creating child sexual abuse material using artificial intelligence, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
MCSO says that they first became aware of the man, Lucius Martin, 39, when a parent reported finding images of their juvenile daughter and another minor on his phone. The parent reported that they had taken photos of the phone, and found both original pictures from a “public-facing social media application,” as well as duplicates that AI had altered.
According to a police report, four images had been altered. MCSO says the images “clearly depicted the children in sexual positions and are clearly focused on sexual gratification.” It was later discovered that the images had been created on June 3, 2025.
On Sept. 29, 2025, Martin was located during a traffic stop in Umatilla, where police say he “refused to comply with demands” to exit his vehicle. MCSO Corporal Austin Moon, who located Martin, says that he observed Martin reset his phone to “destroy” evidence.
Martin is charged with four counts of the creation of child pornography, four counts of the possession of child pornography and one count of destroying evidence in a felony investigation. He is currently being held at the Marion County Jail with no bond.
