The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has revealed that a teenager was involved in distributing an alarming number of over 250 files featuring child sexual abuse content.
MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities have apprehended a teenager following allegations of possessing multiple AI-generated videos depicting child sexual abuse, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
On November 6, 2025, a detective initiated an investigation upon identifying an internet user engaged in the distribution of 257 files of child sexual abuse materials (CSAM). The investigation led to the identification of 19-year-old David Rutter as having uploaded these files.
On Thursday, January 15, detectives, alongside the SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at Rutter’s residence, as reported by the MCSO.
During the search, authorities discovered Rutter’s phone contained numerous images of child erotica and four AI-generated videos featuring child celebrities in CSAM. Additionally, other AI-created videos of minors and printed pictures of clothed children and infants were found in his bedroom, according to the arrest report.
When interviewed by detectives, Rutter admitted to obtaining CSAM and said, “If the content I had was the worst you had seen, it would be your first day on the job.”
Rutter was arrested on four counts of possession of child pornography and was transported to the Marion County Jail, where he is without bond. The sheriff’s office states that at the time of his arrest, Rutter was on bond after being arrested in July 2025 by the Ocala Police Department for 20 counts of possession of child pornography.
“Due to the nature of these offenses, the vast amount of material located, and Rutter committing the exploitative crimes while on bond for similar charges, detectives believe he may have live victims,” MCSO states. “Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Detective Osthed at (352) 351-4710.”
