On Tuesday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents carried out detentions in New York City.

A group of about twelve officers, identifiable by their vests labeled “Police Federal Agent,” was seen patrolling the Chinatown district of Lower Manhattan that afternoon.

The presence of ICE led to an immediate reaction when an onlooker shouted, “ICE is here,” causing street vendors to quickly disperse, as reported by Jessica Kartalija on the scene.
