WASHINGTON — In a significant recall affecting nearly 80,000 units, Lifepro Fitness is pulling its Bioremedy Infrared Sauna Blankets from the market. These products, sold exclusively online through platforms such as Lifepro.com, Amazon, Walmart, QVC, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, have been distributed between September 2022 and June 2025.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued an alert on October 23 highlighting the potential dangers associated with these sauna blankets. Reports have surfaced of the blankets overheating, which poses a serious risk of burns to users.

To date, Lifepro Fitness has received 65 complaints regarding overheating incidents. Alarmingly, 32 of these complaints have involved actual burn injuries. This has prompted the company to take precautionary measures to ensure consumer safety.

The recall specifically targets two sizes of the sauna blankets: the regular size, measuring 31 by 71 inches, and the large size, at 36 by 76 inches. It is important to note that only blankets featuring a control pad with a gray face are subject to this recall, as specified by the CPSC.

The sauna blankets were sold in two sizes, regular and large. The regular-sized blanket is 31 by 71 inches, while the larger size is 36 by 76 inches. Only units with a control pad featuring a gray face are included in the recall, according to the CPSC.

The products, which came in black, gray, pink and purple colors, were sold exclusively online through Lifepro.com, Amazon.com, Walmart, QVC and Dick’s Sporting Goods between September 2022 and June 2025. The sauna blankets cost between $179 and $199.

The recall affects seven model numbers of the sauna blankets: LP-BRMDYL-BLK, LP-BRMDYL-GRY, LP-BRMDYR-BLK, LP-BRMDYR-GRY, LP-BRMDYR-BLU, LP-BRMDYR-PNK, and LP-BRMDYR-PRPL.

The “Lifepro” brand name and model number are printed on the front of both the blanket and controller.

Consumers are urged to immediately cease use of the recalled sauna blankets and unplug them. Those with the recalled products can visit the company’s website for instructions on getting a free replacement.

The notice also highlights that those with the recalled blankets should dispose of the product in compliance with local regulations.

Consumers can also contact Lifepro Fitness at 888-491-1690 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET or email at recalls@lifeprofitness.com.
