For those who spent their childhoods glued to Disney Channel in the early 2000s, The Cheetah Girls holds a special place in their hearts. The iconic trio of films featured the talents of Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Sabrina Bryan, and Kiely Williams. They portrayed high school students Galleria, Chanel, Dorinda, and Aqua, who pursued their dreams in the music industry while navigating teenage life. The dynamic group was known for their confidence, ambition, and remarkable singing and dancing abilities. Who could ask for more?

What is The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen about?

The upcoming story follows Galleria and Chanel from the original series, along with Galleria’s daughter, Faith, and her three friends. Together, they embark on an adventure to Africa, volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary. As the tale unfolds, the girls test the strength of their friendship, find their voices, and embrace the true Cheetah spirit, ultimately shining as the next generation of Cheetah Girls by saving the sanctuary and taking the stage.

Who stars in The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen

The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen will star Leah Sava Jeffries as Galleria’s daughter Faith. Jeffries is known for her role as Annabeth Chase in Disney+‘s Percy Jackson and the Olympians. She will act alongside Carmen Sanchez, another up-and-coming Disney star known for her work in Electric Bloom, who will play Chanel’s sister Dior. Their quartet is rounded out by I Woke Up A Vampire star Kaileen Chang as Ruby and America’s Got Talent contestant Sophie Lennon as Brooklyn.

Other cast members include newcomer Kamogelo Ramashala, a South African actor who was discovered in an open casting call, who will play Kendi, as well as veteran actress Sophia Bush as Jennifré.

Is the original The Cheetah Girls cast in The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen?

Fans, don’t worry! The new movie will have enough nostalgia for all of us. Raven-Symoné and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton will be reprising their roles as Galleria and Chanel in the upcoming fourth movie. But that’s not all, for Sabrina Bryan will also make a special appearance as Dorinda, meaning three out of four of the original Cheetahs will be there.

Other returning cast members include Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter, who are set to reprise their roles as Dorothea and Juanita. The film will also be executive produced by Debra Martin Chase, who produced the first three movies in the series.
