Meghan Markle has started the new year with a bang – releasing a stunning trailer for her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.

The Duchess is featured cooking in a stunning kitchen in a trailer shared on her new Instagram account. The clip shows Meghan picking fresh produce from a garden and having conversations with well-known friends like Mindy Kaling and her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

The video gave viewers a glimpse into the ex-working royal’s decked out set kitchen, including some of the luxe – and pricey items – Meghan, 43, was using.

In one shot, the mom-of-two served a caprese appetizer – adorably made to look like ladybugs.

Sitting on small pieces of bread, the ladybugs – whose bodies were made of baby tomatoes with small black dots with olive heads- sat on a mozzarella and leaf bed.

They sat on a gorgeous blue floral patterned plate, which is believed to be the Blue Peony Plate from Earth and Element, a female owned ceramics studio located in Los Angeles. The plate prices start from $40 for each bread plate and $70 for a dinner plate.

In another shot, a beautiful salad bowl sits on top of the stunning island bench.

The bowl resembles one found to be from Astier de Villatte – a line of ceramic made in Paris from black terracotta clay finished with a signature milky white glaze.

The websites notes that each piece is handmade and will feature unique variations, with the large Adelaide Salad Bowl retailing for $345.

Meghan also served guests a dessert that appears to resemble Eton Mess, containing strawberries, cream, mint and a berry coulis.

She serves the pink sweet in a old fashioned ice-cream dish, with similar versions found on Crate and Barrel for an affordable $3.95 per cup.

Posting the trailer on her Instagram account, Meghan wrote: ‘I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it.

‘Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team. Beyond grateful for the support – and fun!’

She signed off: ‘As ever, Meghan.’

Describing the series in an official synopsis, Netflix says: ‘In With Love, Meghan, we join Meghan in the kitchen, garden — and even at the beehive — as she prepares to host friends both old and new.

‘Sharing some of her favorite tips and tricks for cooking, gardening, crafting, and more, Meghan reveals how even the most minute details can help add beauty to our lives and, most importantly, help bring people together.

‘Whether it’s preparing take-home gifts for guests or adding a sprinkle of edible flowers to breakfast, it’s truly the thought that counts.’

Speaking in the trailer, Meghan says: ‘I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it, surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them.

‘I’m going to share some little tips and tricks and how you incorporate these practices every day.

‘This is about connecting with friends… We’re not in the pursuit of perfection we’re in the pursuit of joy.’

The Duchess is known to have many star-studded friends; one of whom is The Office writer Mindy Kaling.

Appearing in a snippet in the trailer, Kaling, who is being served up a piece of Victoria Sponge cake, says: ‘What! This is probably one of the most glamorous moments of my life.’

Meghan’s announcement comes a day after she dramatically returned to Instagram with a video of her laughing on the beach near Montecito.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared her first clip on the simple Instagram account @meghan on Wednesday, New Year’s Day.

The new video sparked a frenzy online, as tens of thousands of people followed the account in a matter of minutes.

It has long been rumored the profile belonged to her after the account was set up back in June, 2022, but remained empty. She then teased fans again in 2023 when she declared she was ‘getting back on Instagram’.

The series will land on Netflix on January 15.
