Meghan Markle’s New Posts Reveal Hidden Details of Life in Britain

The Duchess of Sussex has offered another personal look at her family’s new life in Britain, sharing a series of social media images filmed in the English countryside over the weekend.

Meghan, 45, announced a partnership with Moms Offering More (MOM) to create a limited-edition sweatshirt in cream and chocolate brown. The £76 (US$100) design briefly sold out online before becoming available again.

On Sunday, the charity posted a black-and-white image of Meghan wearing the sweatshirt beneath a tree, photographed with her back to the camera. Meghan later shared another picture on Instagram showing herself modelling the jumper in bright sunshine.

With her hair swept into a relaxed updo, Meghan also displayed her gold Oura Ring Five by Logan Hollowell.

The high-end fitness tracker, also favoured by Prince Harry, costs £2,203 and monitors key health data including vital signs, sleep quality and stress levels.

She paired it with a second, more understated ring and Logan Hollowell’s £16,207 Lovers Duet Diamond and Emerald Chain Necklace. Meghan previously wore the striking piece while having afternoon tea with Malala Yousafzai at Claridge’s last Wednesday.

Beneath the sweatshirt, Meghan wore a blue-and-white pinstriped shirt. Some royal followers believe it may be her £150 Misha Nonoo Husband Blue & White Stripe Shirt.

Later, she posted a 20-second video showing her children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, travelling along a country lane on their scooters as The Temptations’ My Girl played in the background.

Later that day, Meghan also posted a 20-second video of her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, riding their scooters down a country lane

Meghan later shared a 20-second clip of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet riding their scooters along a country lane

The children’s matching blue and pink backpacks appeared to suggest they could have been heading to their new school in the Midlands. Archie was seen riding a scooter, while Lilibet walked alongside him and the family dog, Pula, followed behind.

Royal watchers were quick to point out that Lilibet’s backpack looked considerably larger than her previous bug-themed bag. Its pink colour, however, was less surprising given the young princess’s apparent fondness for the shade.

In June, Lilibet was seen carrying a £19.95 giraffe backpack made by GoldBug, a children’s accessories brand owned by women.

In Meghan’s latest footage, Archie and Lilibet paused in amazement as a large herd of deer galloped across the lane only a few metres in front of them.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are due to make their first joint appearance since returning to Britain this week. The couple moved to the Cotswolds in September, six years after stepping back from the working monarchy and relocating to the United States.

Since coming back to the UK, Meghan has regularly shared glimpses of the family’s countryside lifestyle, including a 34-second montage showing Prince Harry and the children enjoying the autumn landscape.

In that video, Archie and Lilibet splashed through puddles and warmed their bare feet beside an open fire. Lilibet was also filmed riding a pink-tasselled bicycle, with a doll sitting in its chair, towards a group of deer on a park track.

Another scene showed the family riding in a rowboat on a lake, while Pula – whose name means rain in Botswana – played along the nearby bank.

Alongside the latest images of herself wearing the Moms Offering More sweatshirt, Meghan wrote: ‘Small acts of care can make a big difference for parents, for caregivers, for moms.’

‘This International Day of the Girl, I’m proud of the way we are showing up, including with our Archewell Philanthropies collaboration with @momsofferingmore supporting families alongside @allianceofmoms and @allianceforchildrensrights.

‘As Moms Offering More says: “It’s the little things”. And all of those “little things” ladder up to big support.’

The charity is supported by the Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation and helps provide single mothers with food security, childcare and financial assistance.

Led by founder Kasondra Herrendorf-Cohen, it is driven by a collective of women known as the ‘MOM Army’.

It helps families facing severe economic challenges across the US and Canada by providing ‘wrap-around services’ to organisations that support single mothers.

The new collaboration comes after the Duchess was pictured in a warm embrace with Malala after the pair enjoyed afternoon tea at Claridge’s in London last week.

She announced on Sunday, International Day of the Girl, that all net profits from her As Ever teas and jams would be donated to the Malala Fund for one day only.

Meghan and Malala shared a joint statement on Instagram to announce the partnership alongside two photos of the women enjoying afternoon tea.

In one of the photos, the pair are seen beaming at the camera before an array of freshly-baked cakes, and tightly holding hands in the other.

The joint statement read: ‘”When we support the girls of today, we empower the women of tomorrow. Access to education is the key to unlocking this.” – Meghan, Duchess of Sussex & Malala Yousafzai.

‘This International Day of the Girl, in partnership with Archewell Philanthropies, 100% of net proceeds from As Ever jams and teas will support Malala Fund and its vital work to ensure that every girl has access to free, safe, quality education.

‘Tea for Two has never felt so good. Shop at asever.com.’

Meghan and Malala dined in Claridge’s world-famous Foyer and Reading Room, where afternoon tea costs £95 per person.

Champagne is available for £30 more but Malala, a Muslim who does not drink alcohol, and Meghan appeared to stick to tea and mineral water.

The women first joined forces in October 2020 for a virtual discussion on International Day of the Girl, when they spoke about girls’ education.

Meghan said on the call: ‘When young girls have access to education, everyone wins, and everyone succeeds. It just opens the door for societal success at the highest level.

‘What I had realised very early on was that when women have a seat at the table, conversations in terms of policy change, conversations in terms of legislation and the dynamics of the community are all shifted.

‘And when you have to see how you get a woman to embrace her voice, you have to start with where she is a young girl.’

Following their conversation, Malala said: ‘Meghan and I are on the same page: we both believe that when girls have access to education, everyone wins.’

The Malala Fund, which was founded in 2013, aims to provide every girl with 12 years of safe and free education.

It targets regions where young girls face severe educational barriers, including Afghanistan, Brazil, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Tanzania.

The London meet-up is believed to have been Meghan’s first public appearance in the capital since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.
