Meghan Trainor admits she sought the help of a weight loss drug to slim down after stunning fans with her dramatic weight loss earlier this month.

The famous singer known for “All About That Bass” gave a special mention to Mounjaro in a post on her Instagram account. This happened while she was attending Billboard’s Women in Music Awards on Saturday night in Los Angeles, where she was honored for her success as a hitmaker.

Though the 31-year-old singer was honored to be recognized, she revealed it was “a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here.”

“I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great,” Trainor wrote.

The mom of two — who shares Riley, 4, and Barry, 1, with husband Daryl Sabara — said she’s aware she doesn’t look the same as she did “10 years ago” but has since morphed into the “healthiest, strongest version” of herself.

“Here’s to celebrating talent, growth, and the power of putting yourself first. Let’s keep shifting the convo to what REALLY matters,” the “NO” singer shared.

Fans began speculating that Trainor was using a weight loss drug when she showed off her dramatically thin figure in a miniskirt and a white T-shirt on Instagram last month.

Many of her comments accused the “Made You Look” artist of using Ozempic before she set the record straight on Monday that she was using Mounjaro, the brand name for Tirzepatide.

Like Ozempic, Tirzepatide is a drug used to treat Type 2 diabetes. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Tirzepatide for weight loss in 2023.

Before Monday’s big reveal, the Grammy Award winner hinted that “science is the secret” to her body transformation while speaking to Entertainment Tonight before Saturday’s award show.

“Science is the secret. I love it,” the mom of two said. “I learned a lot of tricks that I had no idea [about]. I was working out so incorrectly wrong for so long. I was running and doing cardio and my body was inflamed, always,” she said.

“I’m trying to bio-hack my body. So anything that’ll help me age backward, I’m into it.”

Over the years, Trainor has been open about her health and fitness journey.

In November 2022, the Grammy winner revealed that she lost 60 pounds after being the “heaviest” she’s ever been following the birth of her son, Riley.

“I learned that I do like healthy food and I learned what portions mean. And I learned my brain is so happy when I exercise, so I’m just [feeling] better than ever,” she said.

Earlier this year, the singer also revealed that she underwent breast augmentation after “having two kids, living a healthier lifestyle and losing weight.”
