Megyn Kelly criticized Timothy Busfield’s wife for continuing to promote her lifestyle brand on social media following her husband’s child sex abuse allegations.

Amid the legal controversies surrounding her husband, Melissa Gilbert, 61, has remained active in posting about her Modern Prairie brand.

Busfield, 68, faces accusations of inappropriate conduct with twin boys during the production of the television series “The Cleaning Lady” from 2022 to 2024.

On her SiriusXM show, Kelly remarked, “She seems to be trying to emulate Meghan Markle with her lifestyle brand antics. She’s still maintaining her online presence.”

Kelly continued, “Although she’s removed her personal social media accounts, she was previously very vocal, often criticizing those, like myself, for not addressing abuse in the way she deemed appropriate.”

‘Now she’s posting on her lifestyle brand all about what’s in her refrigerator and having the brand people point out that Melissa has nothing to do with the allegations against Timothy, which is not true.’

Gilbert posted to her Instagram this week detailing what was stocked inside her refrigerator. 

‘Butter, eggs, milk, veggies, the building blocks of magical meals,’ the post read.

Gilbert, who shot to fame on Little House on the Prairie, previously feuded with Kelly over comments about she made about Jeffrey Epstein, in which she stated he wasn’t technically a pedophile since he preferred ‘barely legal girls’ as opposed to ‘eight-year-olds’.
‘You need to be careful with your words,’ Gilbert, who appeared on the popular series Little House on the Prairie from 1974–1983, told Kelly.

However it wasn’t just the former Fox host who took issue with the actress’ promotional posting, 

  ‘Maybe take a break from the socials marketing for a bit,’ one person wrote online.

Another followed chimed in, writing: ‘This is not the first time a woman has looked the other way in the hopes of keeping what they perceive as true love.

‘I’m just curious how she lets all those grandkids around him and in such close proximity. How do you trust?’

The company released a statement saying the allegations against Busfield ‘do not involve Modern Prairie, our operations, nor our community’.

It added that, ‘we are respecting the privacy of the family as they navigate a difficult and personal situation.’

‘Modern Prairie unequivocally condemns abuse in all forms and remains committed to values of safety, integrity, and respect,’ it concluded.

Busfield has denied any wrongdoing but is being held without bond pending his next court date following an appearance earlier this week.

Last night his attorneys filed a motion against the decision arguing that prosecutors don’t have ‘proof’ that shows the community is in danger if Busfield was to be released on bond.

The brief contained several letters written by his Hollywood pals and co-stars in support of Busfield’s character as well as Gilbert. 

Gilbert pleaded with the judge to ‘protect’ her husband, calling him a ‘compassionate and honorable’ man. 

It also included personal details about Busfield’s sex life with his wife Melissa Gilbert, detailing that they have a ‘satisfying sex life’ but that they ‘enjoy cuddling more than sex’. 

The brief that he would sometimes masturbate while taking a shower as it is ‘easier’, saying the last time he masturbated was six months ago. 

Busfield’s attorneys said that the allegations against their client emerged only after the two boys lost their role in the show, creating a financial and retaliatory motive. 

The filings detailed what his lawyers claimed was a clear history of fraud carried out by both the father and mother.

Heavily armed US Marshals descended on the couple’s secluded Catskills home, smashing open the front door with a battering ram during a dramatic raid on Tuesday 

They also cited an investigation by Warner Bros. into the allegations which they said prosecutors did not include in their criminal complaint. 

That investigation found the allegations to be unfounded, with the studio unable to find evidence to support the allegations against Busfield. 

He is due back in court on January 20, when a judge will determine whether to grant the prosecution’s motion for him to remain in custody until trial.
