First Lady Melania Trump and Second Lady Usha Vance arrived at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, ready to welcome the fall season while visiting service members and their families in anticipation of Thanksgiving.
This visit marks their first solo trip together without their spouses, former President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance. They have a full agenda planned, including participating in various events and delivering speeches from an aircraft hangar, as reported by ABC11.
On Wednesday afternoon, the pair stepped off their plane into the breezy North Carolina air. Melania, 55, chose a casual yet stylish look with brown leather pants and a coordinated safari jacket. Meanwhile, Usha, 39, donned a burgundy turtleneck dress paired with matching suede heels.
Melania’s safari jacket, believed to be a design by Blazé Milano, featured multiple pockets and tortoise-shell button accents.
Currently available for $950 on Net-a-Porter, the jacket originally retailed for $1,900.
She paired the look with a pair of chestnut-colored, heeled Christian Louboutin booties that included buckle detailing on the front.
The heels are no longer available for sale.
The First Lady tied everything together with a pair of brown aviator-style sunglasses and light-pink painted nails.

On Wednesday afternoon, the two disembarked from their aircraft, with Melania dressed down in a pair of brown leather pants and a matching safari jacket, while Usha opted for a burgundy-colored, turtleneck dress with matching suede heels
Usha, on the other hand, opted for a figure-hugging, long-sleeve turtleneck dress in a warm burgundy color.
The dress, which is currently for sale at Ralph Lauren for $145, featured a long, draping tie-belt at the waist.
The Second Lady topped off the look with a pair of suede burgundy heels, black Ray-Ban sunglasses, and a pair of statement earrings.
According to the First Lady’s office, the two will ‘show appreciation for those who serve this holiday season’ while at Camp Lejune.
It’s unclear what Melania and Usha’s relationship is like behind the scenes, but they have made some appearances together for various occasions, like Mother’s Day.
Usha appeared with her husband at a celebration for military mothers that was hosted by Melania this Spring, according to Hola! Magazine.
Of course, President Trump was also in attendance.
Their Wednesday appearance comes just one day after The First Lady joined President Donald Trump in hosting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for an ornate dinner in the East Room Tuesday night.

Melania wore a strapless emerald dress to match Saudi Arabia’s flag, as her husband announced that Saudi Arabia would be elevated to ‘major non-NATO ally’ and that a strategic defense compact had been signed.
He also lauded the crown prince for pledging to invest $1 trillion in the U.S.
The 55-year-old’s choice of dress – a $3,350 coated emerald jersey strapless gown from Elie Saab – appeared to be a subtle show of support for MBS.
The crown prince’s return to the White House has been controversial due to the 2018 killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi and Saudi Arabia’s role in the September 11 terror attacks.
It also comes as Trump is under political fire over pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, with the Saudis visit coinciding with votes to release the Epstein files in both the House and the Senate.
