Met Gala rocked by revolting protest hours before fashion’s biggest night kicks off
The annual Met Gala is stirring up controversy once again, as tensions rise across New York City mere hours before the glamorous event kicks off.
The uproar centers around the participation of Amazon’s billionaire founder Jeff Bezos, aged 62, and his partner Lauren Sanchez, 56. The couple is said to be the primary financial backers of this year’s gala.
Reports suggest that numerous containers filled with a yellow liquid have been strategically hidden within the Metropolitan Museum of Art, placed worryingly close to invaluable exhibits.
Additionally, baskets brimming with plastic water bottles have been positioned outside the museum, with a peculiar invitation for people to use them as makeshift restrooms.
A sign accompanying the setup reads: ‘The Met Gala VIP toilet. Installed in honor of Met Gala chair Jeff Bezos. Go ahead, it’s good enough for his staff.’
