Michelle Obama 'angry' for skipping Trump inauguration

Kid Rock labeled Michelle Obama as “upset” following her announcement that she would not be present at President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration.

“She seems a little angry,” the “Picture” singer said on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Thursday.

Rock, a longtime Trump supporter who will perform at the incoming commander-in-chief’s victory rally Sunday, also pointed out that he sang at former President Barack Obama’s 2009 Youth Inaugural Ball despite being on different sides of the aisle.

“Years back, when Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him,” he recalled on the Fox News show.

“But they asked me to play the inauguration, and I played it, and I went, had a good time. I went out of respect for the presidency, so I would kindly remind Ms. Michelle about that.”

The Obamas’ office announced Tuesday that Barack, 63, plans to attend 78-year-old Trump’s swearing-in ceremony next Monday, but Michelle, 61, will not join her husband.

The statement did not give an explanation as to why the “Becoming” author chose to skip the event.

However, a source familiar with the Obamas’ inner circle told Page Six exclusively Wednesday that Michelle has “always been very deliberate about where and how she shows up.”

The insider explained, “She’s never been fake, and she’s never been phony. … She doesn’t have to say anything. Her absence speaks volumes.”

The news of Michelle’s planned absence did not bother Trump or his allies, with an insider involved in organizing the inaugural festivities telling us Thursday, “They are having a good laugh. They didn’t expect her to come anyway.”

A Democratic source, in turn, reminded Page Six that Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, “didn’t go to Joe Biden’s [2021] inauguration and nobody cared.”

This will be the second political event in two weeks that Michelle has missed, as she did not join her spouse at former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral on Jan. 9 either.

Notably, Barack and Donald appeared chummy at Carter’s memorial service despite their history of animosity, which includes the former “Apprentice” host flip-flopping on his false claim that the “A Promised Land” author was not born in the US.
