During a recent interview, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino took a moment to address the unsettling behavior exhibited by his fellow Jersey Shore star, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. The incident in question unfolded when Ortiz-Magro, aged 40, appeared to doze off during a group discussion with Stars on Sirius XM, drawing attention from fans and media alike.
In response, Sorrentino, who is 43, chose to clarify his position on the matter. Through a post on Instagram Stories this past Friday, he expressed his stance, stating, “I want to be clear that I am not responsible for the actions of any other cast member.” His words underline a clear boundary between himself and his co-star’s actions.
Sorrentino further elaborated on his feelings, sharing, “At the same time, my heart is heavy seeing what Ron, a grown adult, chose to present during press.” This statement reflects both concern and a degree of separation, acknowledging Ortiz-Magro’s autonomy in the situation.
He concluded by emphasizing the ongoing nature of the issue, noting, “The situation is still developing, and while I do not know the full extent of what he may be going through, I do know it is separate from my path.” Sorrentino’s remarks highlight his awareness of the complexities involved and his intent to maintain his own journey independently.

For his part, Sorrentino marked 10 years of sobriety in December 2025 and owns several rehab facilities.
He vowed in Friday’s note about his longtime friend: ‘I will help where I can, including through my organization, The Archangel Centers.
‘I reached out to check in and offer my support, and I am still waiting to hear back. If he is willing, I will be there for him. My heart is with anyone who is struggling.’
In closing, he said, ‘I have worked hard to protect my sobriety for nearly 11 years, and I honor that every day while continuing to show up with compassion for others.’

The fan account @HousewivesHub posted the clip on X, writing, ‘Oh Ronnie does not look well… the nodding off.’
Meanwhile, fans speculated about what could be going on with the former MTV personality.
‘Is he on heroin to be nodding out like that?’ one person asked, while another pointed out: ‘Mike is looking healthier, man. He should help him!’
Ortiz-Magro previously halted filming the 2021 Jersey Shore reboot after a domestic violence arrest.
He was ordered to take parenting classes and placed under a three-year protective order from his ex-girlfriend Jenn Harley.
The following year, in 2022, he announced that he was one year sober.
This past March TMZ reported that police were called to his Miami home to help his ex-girlfriend Kirsten ‘peacefully’ remove her belongings.
A rep for the reality star later told the outlet, ‘He was in the process of separating from his long term girlfriend, and it was at his request for her to call the police to ensure that the separation/moving out was peaceful…
‘Because he’s been the recipient of falsehoods in the past, and is in a really good place and didn’t want there to be any unnecessary drama.’
