Miraculous Escape: Plane’s Emergency Landing on Florida Freeway Toyota Shocks Drivers

On Monday evening, a small aircraft made an unexpected landing on a Florida highway, colliding with at least one car, according to officials.

The Beechcraft 55, a fixed-wing plane, was forced to make an emergency descent onto Interstate-95 near Merritt Island at approximately 5:45 p.m. after experiencing engine issues, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) informed Fox News Digital.

During its emergency landing, the plane crashed into a 2023 Toyota Camry, as reported by Fox Orlando.

Fortunately, the two people aboard the aircraft—both 27-year-old men from Orlando and Temple Terrace—escaped unharmed.

The pilot and a passenger in the aircraft, a man from Orlando and another from Temple Terrace, both 27, weren’t injured.

The 57-year-old woman driving the Camry was taken to hospital with minor injuries. 

Video footage posted online shows the plane attempting to land on the freeway as the Camry was traveling.

The aircraft appears to land on top of the vehicle before skidding in front of the vehicle onto the road.
