A dog has found a new chance at life.

A fortunate canine emerged “remarkably unscathed” after tumbling almost 100 feet down a cliff on a Scottish island, authorities have reported.

The 2-year-old collie, named Whisp, took a dramatic fall from a rocky cliff near Heylor in Shetland on Thursday, as shared by HM Coastguard on Facebook.

Coastguard teams quickly responded to the incident around 11:10 a.m., employing rope rescue equipment to lift the fallen pup back up the 98-foot cliff to safety, according to officials.

Officials noted that due to the challenging terrain, a rescue from the seaside at the base of the cliffs was not feasible.

The black-and-white pooch was brought back to the top of the cliff roughly three hours later.

Whisp was “safe and well” and “remarkably unscathed” despite the harrowing fall, the coast guard said in a statement.

Pictures showed the happy-go-lucky pup posing with his rescuers and looking overjoyed to be reunited with his owner.

“Thankfully, a happy ending for Whisp,” the coastguard wrote.
