A woman in California was struck by a plane on Tuesday and subsequently taken to the hospital, where she is reported to be in moderate but stable condition.

The Long Beach Fire Department confirmed that the aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing on a soccer field located within a park.

Initial reports indicate that the plane originally took off from Compton, California, with a destination of French Valley, California. The incident occurred during its return flight to Compton.
