Mom of 3-Year-Old Soccer Prodigy Raises Thousands Amid Saga

The mother of three-year-old soccer sensation Nevada has started a fundraiser to help him continue developing his talent after he was removed from his local youth league.

Nevada attracted widespread attention this week after police were called to a youth soccer match in Winter Park, Florida, on Saturday amid a confrontation involving parents.

In a video shared Monday morning, the toddler’s father, Don Pierre, claimed that parents of other players had objected to Nevada not passing the ball during the game. Pierre has nearly 700,000 followers on TikTok.

Jul Henry, the youth league director who contacted 911 about what he described as “disruptive” conduct from parents, offered a different account. In police bodycam footage obtained by The Daily Mail, Henry alleged that Nevada had acted “aggressively” on the field.

As the dispute continues to draw attention online, Nevada’s mother has launched a GoFundMe to help pay for her son’s “training, equipment and other opportunities.”

More than $23,000 had been donated to the family at the time of writing.

The fundraiser description says: “I’m Martasia Griffin, and I’m raising money for my son, Nevada Pierre, a bright and enthusiastic three-year-old who has loved soccer since he was one.

“With the care, commitment and coaching provided by his father, Don Pierre, Nevada has continued improving his abilities while building an even stronger connection to the sport.

“For him, soccer is far more than a pastime. It brings him happiness and excitement while giving him the opportunity to learn, grow and experience being part of a team.”

Griffin also addressed the Winter Park incident, rejecting the league’s characterization that police were called because of parents’ “disruptive” behavior.

“On October 24, 2026, during a game with i9 Sports in Winter Park, Florida, Nevada experienced something no child his age should have to face.

“He was taken out of the game over concerns regarding his skill level, and the disagreement eventually escalated to the point where law enforcement was contacted.

“At only three years old, Nevada could not understand why he was being removed from an activity he loved. A moment that should have been filled with childhood joy instead became confusing and upsetting for him, and painful for our family to watch.”

She added: “This fundraiser represents more than a single distressing incident. It is intended to protect Nevada’s love of soccer and ensure that this experience does not shape the rest of his journey.

“Contributions will help him continue playing in a more encouraging environment by covering league fees, coaching, equipment, uniforms, travel and other opportunities that allow him to develop his abilities.

Police were called to Nevada's recent game

Nevada’s parents initially said officers were called after other parents complained that the three-year-old was “too good” to be playing in the league

However Jul Henry, the director of the youth league who called 911 over the 'disruptive' parents, claimed that Nevada had been 'aggressive'

Jul Henry, the youth league director who called 911 over what he described as “disruptive” parental behavior, alleged that Nevada had been “aggressive”

‘We need this support as soon as possible so Nevada can move forward and keep doing what he loves.’

In footage from the game, Nevada could be seen dominating the i9 Sports competition. As cops arrived, his father could be heard in the social media video saying: ‘They called the police on a three-year-old because he is too good.

‘They called the police on a 3-year-old because he has the ball for too long. And nobody else can get the ball. So, they called the police on him.’

However, Henry, the director of the youth league who called 911 over the ‘disruptive’ parents, claimed that Nevada’s parents were being ‘disruptive’ after the soccer starlet was pulled from the game in bodycam footage obtained by The Daily Mail.

While Henry acknowledged that Nevada was a talented player, he alleged that the toddler had been too ‘aggressive,’ claiming that he had pushed other players.

He informed the officers that he would be willing to offer the family a refund for their league payments but demanded that they leave the park.

However, Nevada’s parents furiously disputed that version of events, informing the responding officers that they were confused why they were being asked to leave.

They explained that they paid $300 for their son to play and claimed that they were simply cheering him on.

‘He’s been doing weird things to my son because my son actually plays soccer,’ the mother told officers, referring to the director. ‘They’re mad at my son because he actually plays soccer. So I’m confused and a little baffled because I signed my son up for soccer.

‘They’re literally kicking him out of this place because he’s good at soccer.’

She also insisted that her son was not being aggressive at all, claiming that his teammates failed to pick up the ball when he would pass to them.

‘What is the real issue? They have an issue with a three-year-old, because me and him haven’t done anything,’ she added, gesturing to the toddler’s father. ‘We stand on the other side. We don’t ever stand with the other parents, so we’re not getting into it with other parents.’

The family eventually exited the park with the officers as the mother demanded paperwork proof that the league would reimburse them.

Dispatch audio revealed that Henry had earlier complained about the youngster’s mother’s behavior as he desperately urged police to send officers to the scene.

He could be heard alleging that the woman was following him around, calling him names and filming him for social media, in the audio heard by The Daily Mail.

‘I have an unruly parent here, calling me names and having me on Instagram or whatever and wanting me to look bad,’ he said.

He continued: ‘There’s a parent here who is really, really disruptive. Like following me around and calling me names. I want her gone.’

Henry continued to frantically request that officers arrive at the scene as quickly as possible as the family were about to leave the park.

‘Can you have someone quickly get here? Because they’re about to leave here in 10 minutes,’ he said. ‘This needs to be like a rush.’

‘I just want her off the property, please, immediately,’ he continued.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were requested by the director to communicate with the family as he ‘did not want to further a disturbance,’ according to a news release from the Winter Park Police Department.
