Patrick Clancy says his ex-wife told him she was experiencing thoughts of hurting their kids and herself
Patrick Clancy recounted a troubling revelation: Lindsay Clancy had begun to have disturbing thoughts about causing harm to both their children and herself.
He noted that December 2022 marked a turning point when a new medication seemed to trigger a decline in her mental health.
“It was during this period that her major downward spiral commenced,” Patrick shared. “She began losing a significant amount of weight and fell into a deep depression, facing immense difficulty.”
Patrick further explained that it was then Lindsay started expressing suicidal thoughts, though she had not devised any specific plan to take her life.
He mentioned that during this tumultuous time, Lindsay also confided in him about experiencing troubling thoughts of harming their children.
‘She described thoughts of hurting the kids or them having some sort of ailment,’ Patrick said.
‘She was very nervous that when Cora had a stomach ache, she became overly worried that she had a liver problem or something much more dramatic than it was.’
He added, ‘I never saw Lindsay harm the kids.’
