The Yanks might have torpedo bats, but Mr. Met has a set of guns.

The revamped Mets mascot is all set to showcase his enhanced physique at the home opener of the once considered underdog team this Friday. Last season, he played second fiddle to Grimace.

In a string of revealing social media posts, the mascot proudly displayed his muscular new appearance, indicating that he dedicated his off-season to hitting the gym hard in New York City.

“Following the remarkable 2024 season, Mr. Met focused on getting into the best shape of his life to symbolize the team’s boundless potential and to prepare for a season filled with success and excitement for all our supporters,” a spokesperson for the Mets shared with The Post.

Diehard Mets fans were quick to notice the muscled Mr. Met during spring training — particularly when he showed off his massive biceps during his and Mrs. Met’s performance of their iconic ninth-inning “Trumpets” rendition.

A video of the March 13 performance quickly racked up hundreds of thousands of views — and plenty of thirsty comments.

“Ok, what’s up? @MrMet is JACKED now,” The 7 Line Army, the team’s famous fanbase, tweeted.

“Mad brolic for no reason !!! We love it,” one fan wrote.

“Hitting the gym with a few of the players maybe??” questioned another.

Some wondered if Mr. Met was pushed to get swole this winter after being unseated by McDonald’s mascot Grimace who was unofficially adopted by the team as a good luck charm last season — a blockbuster run that landed them in the National League playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Grimace started pinch hitting for Mr. Met in fan’s hearts after the purple giant threw the first pitch at a June game that turned the season tide in the Amazins’ favor and earned him a dedicated purple seat in the stadium.

But the team insists Mr. Met was inspired by a completely different costumed character: his wife.

“Mr. Met couldn’t have completed his transformation without his number one supporter, Mrs. Met by his side. From food drives to fan celebrations and general appearances in the community, the duo are inseparable and are stronger together,” a Mets spokesperson said in a statement.

The duo hit countless events during the off-season, including the Amazin’ Day fanfest, Mets House and other pop-up events throughout the year, where the team enthusiasm fueled Mr. Met better than any performance-enhancing drug.

Although the team claims he wasn’t building his new bod in the gym with Francisco Lindor and Polar Bear Pete, some clips said otherwise, including one of the mascot hitting a handstand pushup.

“Mr. Met is a testament to the fact that strength comes in many forms. His transformation is a reflection of the Mets’ spirit: ready, resilient, and ready to take on whatever the season throws at them,” a Mets spokesperson said.

“While we’re excited everyone is talking about Mr. Met’s new look, the real reason he’s powered up is to spend time with fans, cheer on the Mets to a victory and experience some Mets magic this season.”
