Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup marry in the US

Naomi Watts married her long-term boyfriend Billy Crudup on Friday.

The Australian actress posted a photo of the couple, both aged 54, posing on the steps of a historic building in the US shortly after tying the knot, adding the caption: ‘Hitched.

Naomi looked stunning in a $7400 white Oscar de la Renta Sweetheart Water Lilly Guipure dress next to her actor husband. 

The Watchmen actor sported a navy blue suit, and he looked dashing with his clean-shaven visage and his shaggy salt-and-pepper hair swept back dramatically.

Billy brightened up the ensemble with a simple white dress shirt sans tie, and he wore classic black dress shoes.

Naomi also shared a close-up photo of herself posing with her white bouquet, along with a caption that revealed she’d purchased her flowers from a local deli. 

After the ceremony, Naomi shared a photo of the newlyweds celebrating with actor Mark Ruffalo and his wife Sunrise Coigney. 

Also pictured was Josh Hamilton – who was coincidentally celebrating his birthday – and his wife Lily Thorne. 

She shared this sweet photo of the couple posing together after the ceremony, adding the caption: ‘Hubby’

‘Yipeeeeeee!!!! Sending so much love,’ Gwyneth Paltrow commented on Naomi;s post, while Miranda Kerr added: ‘Congratulations’.

Naomi and Billy met on the set of her 2017 Netflix series Gypsy, in which she starred as a therapist who uses an alias to develop close (and unethical) relationships with people intimately connected to her patients, while Crudup played her husband.

The costars began a relationship later in 2017, a year after Naomi had split from her partner of 11 years, the actor Liev Schreiber.

The friendly exes share two children: Kai, 14, and Sasha, 15.
