LOS ANGELES — 20th Century Studios released a new trailer for “Deliver Me from Nowhere,” the Bruce Springsteen biopic starring Jeremy Allen White (“The Bear”), coming to theaters October 24.

It follows a young Springsteen, as he produces his sixth solo album, “Nebraska,” released in 1982, and is based on the 2023 book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska,” by Warren Zanes.

“This film takes a couple years out of my life and looks at them very closely, a time when I made ‘Nebraska’ and went through some personal difficulties,” says Springsteen. “I’m so appreciative of Jeremy Allen White and the entire cast for their wonderful and moving performances – and Scott Cooper, one of the most generous collaborators I’ve ever worked with.”

On The Red Carpet caught up with White in May at the Disney Upfront, where he discussed Springsteen’s involvement with the production.

In June, the studio released a 30-second video, teasing the official trailer release. It showcases a cassette, which reads “Colts Neck – Demo” and plays the acoustic version of “Born in the U.S.A.”

“Deliver Me From Nowhere” is set to be the opening night film at AFI FEST.

In addition to White, the film features Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau, Stephen Graham as Douglas Springsteen, Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, Johnny Cannizzaro as musician Steve Van Zandt, Odessa Young as love interest Faye, Marc Maron as music producer Chuck Plotkin, David Krumholtz as record exec. Al Teller and Gaby Hoffmann as Adele Springsteen.

It’s written and directed by Scott Cooper.

“Deliver Me from Nowhere” premieres in theaters October 24.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of 20th Century Studios and this ABC station.
