The Shedeur Sanders prank callers appear to have revealed themselves.

Video footage showing a quarterback playing a prank on Sanders by falsely informing him he had been selected by the Saints surfaced on Friday. Shortly after, another video was shared, revealing the response from the other end of the call.

What appears to be a few Ole Miss students instigated the prank, calling Sanders and impersonating Saints general manager Mickey Loomis.

Appearing to read from a script, the caller identifies himself as Loomis.

“It’s been a long wait, man,” he says. “We’re gonna take you with our next pick right here, man.”

In the video, after Sanders seemingly reacts, the caller can be heard saying, “But you’re gonna have to wait a little bit longer, man. Sorry about that.” The clip then captures the caller hanging up, followed by laughter in the room.

“He bought it!” exclaims one of the kids in the room.

While the video is unverified, it fits with the video of Sanders’ end of the call, which shows the same dialogue.

“What does that mean?” Sanders asks after the phone hangs up, before realizing the phone call was fake.

Sanders’ two-day slide did finally come to an end on Saturday afternoon when the Browns traded up for the 144th overall pick to take the Colorado quarterback in the fifth round.

That will at least be some reprieve after what’s been a hugely embarrassing 48 hours for Sanders, who was at one point talked about as a potential first overall pick.

“Thank you GOD,” Sanders posted on X after his name was finally called.

He also celebrated his selection by dancing with brother Shilo and cannonballing in the family pool.

Sanders is the second quarterback the Browns took in this draft after Dillon Gabriel.
