A New York Times technology executive was allegedly gunned down by his elderly in-laws in California, The Post has learned.
Jonathan McKinsey, 40, the newspaper’s head of engineering for games player experience, was shot in the parking lot of Dublin Sports Grounds at around 3 p.m. Saturday, according to police. Authorities identified the alleged shooters as Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen, both 77.
Officers on patrol found McKinsey suffering from multiple gunshot wounds as 911 dispatchers were inundated with emergency calls from the area.
First responders performed lifesaving measures, but McKinsey was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told police that two masked attackers had approached him in the parking lot.

Witnesses said the gunmen took turns firing repeatedly at McKinsey before a passing police officer quickly apprehended them.
Zhang and Chen were booked into Alameda County’s Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of murder.
