California Representative Robert Garcia, the leading Democrat on the Oversight panel, informed reporters that the committee has received a collection of photographs from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. These images feature “powerful men,” women, and properties associated with the late financier. Garcia stressed the Democrats’ dedication to transparency and promised to make all received information public.
According to Garcia, the committee got hold of these photos “just last night,” and they have reviewed around 25,000 out of the 95,000 images provided by Epstein’s estate. He noted that while some of these photos were sent to Epstein, others were taken by him. Garcia described some of the unreleased images as “incredibly disturbing.”
He stated, “The most crucial thing right now is that there is one person who holds the power to release these files, uncover the truth, and bring justice to the survivors: Donald Trump. President Trump needs to make these files public, allowing the truth to emerge and providing a sense of justice to the survivors,” Garcia told reporters.
Garcia mentioned that subpoenas are necessary to obtain emails related to the photos and records from several banks that had dealings with Epstein. When questioned about redactions in the images, he replied, “From the start, our commitment has been to redact any photo or information that might cause harm to any victims, and we will uphold that commitment.”
Garcia also accused the White House of orchestrating a “cover-up.”
“That needs to end,” he said. “There are women who were now, who were raped when they were children, who just want justice. Let’s release the files immediately.”
