News Anchor Reveals the Major Plastic Surgery She Underwent

Gayle Anderson, a veteran reporter on Los Angeles’ most-watched morning news program, has disclosed that she recently underwent nine cosmetic surgeries.

The 64-year-old KTLA journalist discussed the procedures during Wednesday’s KTLA 5 Morning News, explaining that she had a face and neck lift, brow lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, skin pinch, lip lift, chin implant replacement and fat transfer in August.

The segment ran for roughly 15 minutes and featured Anderson alongside her surgeon, Dr. Carl Truesdale.

Anchor Jessica Holmes opened the discussion by admitting that the revelation had surprised everyone.

Anderson was then asked what had led her to pursue so many procedures at once.

“The Gayle I see now when I look in the mirror—thank you, cute Dr. Truesdale—is the Gayle from New Jersey who flew out here on a plane,” she said.

Anderson has worked at KTLA and appeared on Morning News for more than three decades. She relocated to Los Angeles in 1993.

“They said, ‘We have a job if you want it.’ And I said, ‘Okay!’ That’s the Gayle I see now,” Anderson recalled.

A social media post published by Dr Truesdale to Instagram shortly before showed Anderson shortly before the surgeries, which were performed on August 11, she said.

She returned to work only two weeks later, on August 25.

Each morning, Anderson said, she now looks in the mirror and tells herself, “I’m back.”

The reporter also spoke candidly about the insecurities she experienced as she grew older.

“As we work and we grow up, things start to change. And for me, it was my neck,” she said.

Those concerns became more pronounced with the rise of selfies, Anderson explained.

She said retired KTLA 5 photographer Bob Keat once took special care to light her shots in a way that would not emphasize the area.

After Keat left, however, Anderson noticed that photographs of her neck contained “a lot of shadows,” she told Holmes and coanchor Melvin Robert.

Anderson said the process began with a Botox appointment at her dermatologist’s office, where a nurse referred her to Dr. Truesdale.

After seeing before-and-after photos of his work at his office, ‘I actually levitated in the chair,’ she remembered.

The doctor posted a sequence showing Anderson’s changes last week.

Anderson remembered Wednesday how Dr Truesdale assured her ‘I’m going to take 30 years off you.’

She said she’s satisfied with the results. She continues to report stories and is a KTLA fan-favorite.

When asked by Robert where she ‘was going now,’ Anderson offered a dose of the personality that viewers in Southern California have come to love.

‘Just lock up the men,’ she said to laughs.
