DALLAS (NEXSTAR) – On Tuesday, Nexstar Media paid tribute to women who are making a significant impact in their communities through its annual Remarkable Women initiative. This program highlights women who are dedicated to fostering positive change and community development.
Every year, finalists from each of Nexstar’s 116 television markets are chosen and given the opportunity to come together and celebrate their achievements. This year, 125 exceptional women have been selected as finalists and will be traveling to Nashville over the weekend. There, they will join fellow nominees in celebration and anticipation of the announcement of the national winner.
The Remarkable Women initiative is designed to honor and spotlight local women who inspire others, show leadership, and help pave the way for future generations of women. Each finalist is acknowledged for their inspiring actions and the meaningful contributions they make to their communities.
Since the inception of the Remarkable Women program in 2020, over 50,000 women have been nominated. In 2026 alone, nearly 12,000 women were put forward for consideration, demonstrating the widespread impact of this initiative.

The winner is announced during International Women’s Month with a special one-hour program airing on The CW Network, NewsNation, and on local broadcasts across Nexstar’s network of local television stations.
Nextar will make a donation to amplify the future work of the 2026 winner.
