Nicola Peltz made her return to social media on Monday, following a subtle jab at her estranged husband Brooklyn Beckham’s renowned family, to pay homage to the late Brigitte Bardot.

The legendary French actress and animal rights activist passed away at her residence near St. Tropez on Sunday morning at the age of 91, after battling illness for several months.

On her Instagram Stories, Nicola, 30, a devoted animal lover, shared a nostalgic photo of Bardot accompanied by her beloved dogs, celebrating the star’s life and love for animals.

In the meantime, Brooklyn Beckham, 26, the eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham, was notably absent from his close friend Holly Ramsay’s wedding, amidst ongoing tension with his family.

Despite the rift, it appears the Ramsay family maintains an “open door” policy towards Brooklyn, suggesting he would likely have been welcomed at the event.

Brooklyn and Nicola are said to have had no contact with his side of the family for months after the row exploded when he missed his father’s 50th birthday.

Brooklyn, 26, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, recently skipped close friend Holly Ramsay’s wedding amid the feud with his family 

It was recently revealed by his younger brother Cruz, 20, that he had blocked his entire family on social media following reports they had unfollowed him. 

And while his parents, Sir David and Victoria Beckham, and his siblings celebrated Holly’s wedding to Adam Peaty in the UK, Brooklyn opted to share a Grinch-themed post thousands of miles away from his Los Angeles home.

The budding chef and his wife have been absent from countless Beckham family occasions over the past year including birthdays, parties and holidays.

Nicola seemingly posted her own thoughts on the current situation hours later, sharing a quote from Brigitte shortly after her passing.

Hinting at her opinion, Nicola said: ‘If I could do anything about the way people behave towards each other, I would, but since I can’t I’ll stick to the animals.’

The latest post comes after she appeared to take another swipe at Brooklyn’s family by posting a stylish selfie with the caption ‘Love being home’ as she and her husband stayed in LA instead of attending Holly and Adam’s wedding.

Nicola showcased her trim figure in a skimpy black vest and sporting a chic pair of shades for the snap, with Brooklyn gushing in the comments: ‘Damn she sexy xx.’

Brooklyn, who spent Christmas with his billionaire in-laws, was said to be invited to the nuptials where Holly, 25, tied the knot with Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, 31.

The Ramsays and the Beckhams have been long-term pals, with the two groups of children growing up together after both families relocated to the U.S

The Beckhams and the Ramsays have been close family friends since the early 2000s, with the two families striking a bond when they relocated to the U.S.

But rather than celebrating Holly’s wedding with the rest of the clan for Christmas, Brooklyn remained at home in the States.

David and Victoria were among the celebrity–studded congregation waiting for a glimpse of the bride and groom.

Their sons Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper, who are close friends of the Ramsays, were also there – but not Brooklyn.

It is not known if Brooklyn was invited to Holly’s wedding and declined or if he didn’t make the guest list. 

However, other insiders have suggested it would be unlikely for Holly to have snubbed Brooklyn, as the Ramsays are thought to take the ‘the door is always open’ approach when it comes to Brooklyn.

Naturally, Brooklyn shared his appreciation for the snap and wrote: ‘Damn she sexy’

The Daily Mail revealed that his relationship with Gordon and Tana’s eldest son Jack – now in the Marines – had also fizzled out, despite the pair being best friends since they were toddlers. 

It is believed that they have not spoken for some time, and according to friends of both families, their bond began to unravel when Brooklyn began dating Nicola.

There was no sign of Jack at Brooklyn and Nicola’s service to renew their wedding vows in the summer.

And they allegedly feel it is a ‘huge shame’ he isn’t going as he and Holly were once very close – he and Jack even closer. 

Hinting at his thoughts at Christmas, Brooklyn posted a picture of one of his four rescue dogs wearing a green Grinch-themed hat. 

In another post from the States – he was seen playing tennis with American pro player Reilly Opelka as well as Nicola’s brother Bradley.
