Nicole, known for her iconic presence in the reality TV world, graced the occasion in a navy blue dress adorned with polka dots, adding a touch of vintage flair with a matching headscarf. She completed the elegant look with pendant earrings and what appeared to be a luxurious fur stole, showcasing her signature sense of style.
Kate Madden, at 18, displayed her own unique fashion sensibility by choosing an edgy, strapless black dress paired with knee-high boots. Her ensemble was complemented by her long, dark hair, parted neatly in the middle, and accessorized with a striking combination of layered bracelets and necklaces.
The evening highlighted the close bond between Nicole and Kate, whose father is Joel Madden, Nicole’s husband of several years. The couple also shares a son, Sparrow, who is 16. Recently, Kate was spotted at Coachella, exuding the same fashionable flair while hanging out with friends, proving her knack for style runs in the family.

That’s hardly a surprise, given that mom Nicole heads up House of Harlow, a design house named after her daughter, whose full given name is Harlow Kate.
“She goes by her middle name. She has her whole life,” Nicole revealed in January, after her birthday post tribute for her daughter sparked confusion among fans, noting that while she “didn’t look” at the comments, it “makes sense” that they would be confused.
“How to make a grown man cry!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Joel commented on the snapshot carousel at the time, adding, “Love you Kate! You’re a bad ass [sic]! Never forget it! Happy 18!! 🎉🎉❤️❤️🎉.”
“Happy Birthday!? Did she change her name?” one person questioned, with others echoing the confusion.
In October 2025, Nicole shared that the pair like to trade clothing from each others’ closets. “We’re pretty open with each other and we let each other borrow whatever [clothes] we want,” she divulged to Extra at the time, noting that her daughter “keeps things in really good condition.”
She added, “My mom always let me borrow and take anything I wanted. And so that’s just the attitude that we have in our house.”
The mother-daughter bond appears to have remained strong throughout the years. In February, Kate took to social media with a pic of her angel wing back tattoos — a tribute to her mother’s famed angel wing tattoos.
Kate wore a gold dress in the pair of photos, captioned the upload simply “🪽” in honor of her mother.
