() A Northwestern University professor has been reported missing after she left her house to go for a walk, according to the Evanston Police Department.

Nina Kraus, 72, was last seen at around 9 a.m. on Monday after leaving her house in the Chicago suburb of Evanston. She was wearing long pants and a windbreaker, police said.

She is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with long silver hair and brown eyes. Her build is described as thin, and she appears “very fit,” according to police.

Kraus is a professor of neurobiology and otolaryngology at Northwestern’s School of Communication, according to Northwestern Now, the university’s news site.

Anyone with information regarding Kraus’ whereabouts is advised to contact the police at 847-866-5000.

“The University is hopeful that with the community’s help, we can find Professor Kraus and assure her safety,” the school said in a statement.
