'Multiple injuries and fatalities' at Dallas ICE facility shooting

() At least three people were hurt in a shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Dallas on Wednesday morning, according to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

“There were multiple injuries and fatalities,” Noem wrote. She said the shooter died by suicide.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons confirmed the shooting during an interview on CNN, but did not share details about the victims.

“It could be employees, it could be civilians that were visiting the facility, it could be detainees,” Lyons said. “At this point, we’re still working through that.”

Texas Department of Transportation cameras showed heavy police traffic and emergency vehicles lined up around the facility around 7 a.m. local time. crews observed SWAT trucks responding to the area.

“While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop,” Noem wrote. “Please pray for the victims and their families”
