Logan Morrison is accused of grabbing and shoving a resident at a senior living facility where he was employed.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has announced the arrest of a Nassau County nursing assistant after the alleged abuse of a resident at an assisted-living facility.
A press release from the attorney general states that the nursing assistant, identified as Logan Morrison, is accused of grabbing and shoving a resident at the senior living facility where he was employed, Dayspring Senior Living LLC in Hilliard. The AG’s release also states that the resident was disabled.
An investigation done by the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, with assistance from the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, alleges that on April 15, 2024, Morrison was seen grabbing the neck of the victim and pushing them onto the floor.
Morrison is facing one count of abuse of a disabled adult, which is a third-degree felony. He faces up to five years in prison.
“My office has zero tolerance for elder abuse,” said Uthmeier. “Rest assured, my office will throw the book at this offender and continue to protect those who cannot protect themselves.”
