Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang has acknowledged being unfaithful to his wife as the trillion-dollar chipmaker investigates whether a woman linked to the affair was involved in a Chinese espionage operation.
In a memo sent to employees on Sunday, Huang, 63, wrote: ‘I was unfaithful to my wife. My actions hurt her and our children. There is no excuse for what I did,’ The New York Times reported.
The relationship became a matter of concern for US officials after surveillance footage and intelligence reportedly indicated that the woman, Alice Huang, had passed information to Beijing.
While Huang has admitted to the affair, he has not acknowledged that Alice Huang was acting as a spy.
Huang and his wife of 41 years, Lori Mills Huang, have two adult children, Madison and Spencer Huang.
Nvidia’s board said it had ‘no reason to believe that either national security or Nvidia secrets were compromised’ because of the relationship. However, it added that the company ‘will examine all available information,’ according to the report.
The board said Huang supports the review ‘and has committed to cooperating with it.’
The disclosure has drawn immediate scrutiny because of Huang’s close ties to President Donald Trump and Nvidia’s central role in the development of artificial intelligence.

A previous New York Times report said Secretary of State Marco Rubio knew about Huang’s relationship but nevertheless allowed him to remain within Trump’s circle.
The report said Rubio oversaw the preparation this spring of a highly classified memo warning senior Trump officials about Huang’s alleged ties to the suspected spy.
Alice Huang was a senior executive at a Singapore-based company that purchased Nvidia’s advanced AI chips, according to the report
The memo was reportedly based on classified intelligence gathered through electronic surveillance involving Alice Huang.
She was a senior executive at Megaspeed International, a Singapore-based company that purchased Nvidia’s advanced AI chips. According to the report, she was also under investigation over allegations that the chips were illegally smuggled into China.
A person familiar with the matter told the Times that Rubio alerted other Trump officials before the president traveled to China in May.
The allegations linking Alice Huang to Chinese espionage became public on October 29, 2026.

Huang was initially excluded from a group of corporate leaders and technology executives invited to accompany Trump to China roughly six months ago. The report said it remains unclear whether Rubio’s memo influenced that decision.

After Rubio shared the information with senior officials, some reportedly raised concerns about Huang’s influence over Trump’s approach to artificial intelligence regulation, according to people briefed on the matter.
But after media reports highlighted Huang’s absence from the delegation, Trump reportedly invited him to join the trip during a meeting aboard Air Force One while the aircraft stopped in Alaska.
Trump later praised ‘the Great Jensen Huang’ and other executives on social media for traveling to ‘the Great Country of China’ to meet President Xi Jinping.
Since that trip, Huang has appeared with Trump on several occasions.

Before acknowledging the affair, Huang denied having anything more than a ‘normal’ relationship with Alice Huang, Bloomberg reported.
In his memo to employees, Huang also expressed his commitment to the United States and Nvidia.
‘I love our country and our company, and I am committed to protecting Nvidia and supporting America’s national security,’ he wrote.
