Authorities announced several arrests on Saturday following an incident in which anti-ICE protesters were filmed hurling trash cans and debris at law enforcement officers near a government facility in New York City.

This event unfolded amidst a heightened enforcement campaign against undocumented immigrants in Chinatown, which has fueled ongoing demonstrations in the area for over a month.

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) informed Fox News Digital that officers were dispatched to the intersection of Centre and Howard streets, close to the U.S. General Service Administration building in Lower Manhattan, shortly before noon in response to reports of unruly protestors.

Upon arrival, police discovered individuals obstructing both the roadway and various exit points, according to the NYPD.

Video footage showed rioters pushing large potted plants in front of ICE vehicles, throwing trash at officers and screaming obscenities.
