An official in Los Angeles recently shared that his daughters were arrested during the ongoing city riots for allegedly attacking a police officer with a deadly weapon.
Rick Cole, who serves as the Chief Deputy Controller of LA, disclosed that his 26-year-old twin daughters, Lucia Aguilar and Antonia, were detained on Sunday night for their involvement in the incident, as reported by LA Mag.
Expressing his concern, Cole, a former mayor of Pasadena, mentioned at a rally in the city that he had seen images of his daughters in handcuffs on a sidewalk in downtown Los Angeles. He indicated his intention to locate their whereabouts so he could arrange for their release on bail.
Lucia Aguilar and Antonia were taken into custody at around 7 p.m. Sunday after being arrested during violence that saw rocks and other objects hurled from a bridge onto police vehicles on the 101 Freeway below, according to LA Sheriff’s Department records seen by the Daily Mail.
No details have yet been released on exactly why the sisters were arrested.
The unrest in Los Angeles is continuing into a fifth day today, with around 700 Marines and an additional 2,000 National Guard members deployed by President Trump to maintain order.
