In a tragic incident in Illinois, authorities have reported that a 14-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by a known offender after being declared missing last Friday.

The Illinois State Police confirmed to Fox News Digital that the young victim, identified as Kylie Toberman, met her untimely death in the town of Vandalia. Her biological mother, Megan Zeller, provided her daughter’s identification.

Following the incident, Arnold Rivera was apprehended and is now facing serious charges, including first-degree murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault, and the concealment of a homicidal death, according to a spokesperson from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. The teenager had been reported missing the same day she was found.

Zeller shared with local news outlet KSDK that her daughter was discovered inside an RV situated behind the residence where Kylie had been staying.

“I will not shut up or stop till my child gets justice!” Zeller wrote in a post on Facebook.

Records reviewed by Fox News Digital show Rivera has a criminal history dating back to 2000.
