An Ohio woman who fatally dragged a DoorDash driver after a minor crash in a grocery store parking lot has been sentenced to as much as 5½ years behind bars.
Danielle Henry received the prison term last week after pleading guilty in the death of 38-year-old Ibrahim Diakite to aggravated vehicular homicide, WBNS-TV reported.
Authorities said Henry had just shoplifted and was behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle when she struck Diakite’s car in October 2025 in the parking lot of a Kroger in Westerville.
What began as a fender bender quickly turned deadly, investigators said, when Henry drove off from the scene in her vehicle.

Diakite followed and pulled up in front of her at a stoplight. He got out and stopped in front of Henry’s vehicle in an effort to prevent her from leaving. He then climbed onto the hood of the car.

Henry drove off and sped up to 45 mph before jerking the car. Diakite was pulled under the vehicle and dragged for about 300 to 600 feet before he was run over, authorities said.
Diakite was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
At the time of the road rage incident, Henry had several active warrants, for charges of theft, receiving stolen property and failure to comply with police.

“She was obviously willing to do whatever she could to keep from being caught by the police and showed herself to be a danger to the community,” Westerville Police Chief Holly Murchland told the news outlet.
Henry will be required to serve at least four years, and her driver’s license was permanently suspended.
